Vogue Living won the best dressed stand from the Society of Interior Designers of Australia was thoughtfully written by Zinta Jurjans Heard in The Age Melbourne. “The other reason that the Vogue Living exhibit was so smart was that it was the perfect model of the standard of quality that is the expectation at Interior Designex. One that gives design professional a “gee whiz” experience. Conceptually strong but not necessarily literal, this show is for super-smart grown-ups, so abstraction is permissible.

Perishable Design

Vogue Living required a simple and elegant visual statement about looking to the future. A singularly simple idea of digitally printing Caravaggio’s ‘boy holding a basket of fruit’ on a monumental canvas while connecting to the future with trays of flora and vegetables. Single planar sheets of coloured glass in persimmon, chocolate, melon, aubergine and quince became the viewing portal that connected the past to the future.
