A custom timber staircase stained in scarlet red is the focal point on arrival to this two-storey apartment . A hand carved stair runner installed as a continuous ribbon of hand drawn oriental floral motifs cascades down the stairacse, flowing out onto the entry foyer.
A luxurious carpet runner and sculptural artwork that sets the scene for this beautifully crafted architectural interior.

Custom STAIR RUNNER
In collaboration with Tappeti and commissioned by our Client the custom wool hand tufted runner was designed in our studio as the main focus to the entry of the two-level apartment refurbishment in Surry Hills.
The design and detailed hand drawing was based on the east-west interpretation of an oriental garden referencing water colour style floral motifs flowing down the rich red stained staircase staircase like a hand drawn watercolour, flowing out onto the main entry foyer in rich hues of pinks, cerise and raspberry.
