The gold laminate boardroom at ‘the haus’ has stood the test of time originally completed in 2009 it was looking slightly jaded and required refurbishment to the ‘soft furnishings’ carpet and silk upholstery walls.

We have been using digital printing for a long time in fact the original boardroom carpet was our first foray into this relatively new technique. 10 years on and we took the opportunity to revisit digital printing by replacing the carpet and wall panels in highly decorative and stylised solutions custom created for our Client.

Digital printing has become so affordable it has opened the world of anything is possible from graduating, pixellating, creating multiple pattern repeats and simulating highly embroidered or lacework designs in limitless colourways.

Jude Hausmann fell in love with the pulsating pixellated carpet and graduated walls in shades of turquoise that provide just enough drama when the gold boardroom door is slid back for client meetings.

BOARDROOM REFURBISHMENT

Taking ‘the haus’ existing turquoise cabintery and wall pelmets a pulsating central hotspot of radiating colour appears from underneath the baordroom table spreading out in a cooler colour spectrum.

The intersection of where floor meets walls and curtain the pulsating shading of turquoise radiate ever upwards and are digitally printed on upholstery and curatin fabrics to unify the interior space.

A string of woven gold chairs appear around a solid resin turquoise table enhancing the visual radiance of the carpet underneath.

The climax is a celestial crystal chandelier taking centre place over the boardroom table.
